They are saved in a file named like this: Let me describe what should happen and how it's supposed to work, and then for people who are having problems, please post where your experience deviates from my explanation, and we can figure out what's wrong.įirst, your config settings are not saved anywhere under the dota installation folder. Sorry for not posting earlier, this was just brought to my attention. Hello Gozuu and others who are having this problem. Guess i just have to change the setting each time playing i think, it just around 30 secs if u get used to it xD The options still don't save but they'll be stuck at whatever you set them to on your alt account. Thanks for the info bud, i tried your alternative steam acc and it didn't work for me and im not sure about the driver thing. Then log back into your main account, disable steam cloud for Dota 2 in the game properties, then go to ProgramFiles/Steam/userdata/570, and copy the remotecache.vdf and remote files from your alternate account to your main account. Thought it was bullshit so I plugged it back in and the problem came back. I unplugged my CD/DVD drive from my motherboard and Dota started saving my settings again. I actually managed to fix this problem but the fix is really strange. Maybe something's up with the steam cloud? No idea. Settings wouldn't save on my main account, but they'd save fine on my alt account. You guys are gonna think i'm full of shit but I'll post what worked for me.
